Bravehearts’ Sexual Assault Disclosure Scheme (SADS) has been established as a confidential and anonymous alternative reporting scheme for historical offences, to assist adult survivors in their disclosures to police.

SADS should not be used for reporting current child protection concerns (for example, that a child under the age of 18 is potentially/currently at risk of sexual, physical or emotional harm or has been harmed). If you have any concerns about the safety of children please report these directly to the police or the child protection authority in the State where the child/ren resides. If you would like advice on this process, please contact Bravehearts’ crisis and support staff on 1800 272 831.

As Bravehearts abides by a Mandatory Reporting Policy in relation to children, if when completing the SADS form current child protection concerns are disclosed this information along with your contact details, will be forwarded to the child protection authorities and/or police in the state where the child/ren reside.

By clicking you ‘ok’, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these limitations to your confidentiality and consent to the Mandatory Reporting Policy.
